Job description
Roles and Responsibilities Supports the day - to - day operations of DC customer's for Network devices. This includes both proactive and reactive management.
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
Provide systems administration for Network devices
Implement and support high availability configuration
Analyze system performance
Plan, implement and manage initiatives with IT and customer teams
Establish & maintain technical standards & security policies
Candidate will be required to provide updates and status to customers & engage with customers on escalated support issues or critical customer situations
Perform in - depth diagnostics and troubleshooting
Ensure tickets are correctly documented, resolved and closed - out in a timely manner in order to meet SLA requirements
Ensures all network and security infrastructure changes are properly documented, strictly adhere to change control management process before any changes are performe
Lead & manage Major IncidentP1 calls
Handle Customer Escalations & assist team member in ticket resolution
Provide KT to team members & maintain documentation
Mandatory Skills Expert understanding of OSI Model, TCPIP protocol suite (IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, DHCP, SNMP, FTP, TFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, Telnet, SSH)
Expert understanding of IP Addressing, subnetting, routing & switching concepts
Expertise with Cisco, LANWAN , IPMPLS networks and ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues
Experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS routing
Experience in MPLS - VPN
Experience in configuring & troubleshooting Cisco ASR 9K
Manage and Troubleshoot Datacenter ( DC) network with static routing, and dynamic routing protocols.
Manage and Troubleshoot DC switch network configured with MST (Multiple Spanning Tree), HSRP (Hot Standby Routing Protocol) , Ether channel, Dot1Q Trunking
Handle and troubleshoot Cisco NEXUS switches (5000, 7000, 9000 series) configured with VDC, VPC, FEX , OTV
Handle and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst 6500 switches, Cisco 3750, Cisco Nexus Datacenter Switches
Hands on experience in upgrading software on router & switches
Expert level troubleshooting experience on tools like Wireshark
Infoblox IPAM with DNS
Good hands on experience in Network Security
Hands on experience in configuration & troubleshooting of security firewall (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Juniper SRX, Fortigate ) IDSIPS & VPN Devices
Hands on experience in configuring & troubleshooting Checkpoint Firewall in high - availability configuration is must
Hands on experience in configuring & troubleshooting Remote access technologies in IPSECGRE and SSL VPN
Hands on experience in configuring & troubleshooting Static NAT, Dynamic NAT & PAT
Hands on experience in VRF & ContextVirtual Systems
Expert level troubleshooting experience on tools like Wireshark
Hands on experience with security device software upgrade
Knowledge on Authentication Protocols like TACASRADIUS802.1x
Strong understanding of network security best practices & concepts ( Attacks, Threats, Mitigating techniques, Zones, URL Filtering, Proxy, Encryption )
Experience in configuring & troubleshooting F5 & A10 load balancing solutions
Good to have skills Cisco CCIE certified (Routing and Switching preferred)
Good understanding of Virtual Technologies VMWare, Cisco UCS, VBLOCK
